Getting to Orlando

Orlando is a pretty simple destination to reach. I would assume the most preferred mode of travel is plane - since Disney offers the Magical Express Bus transport (check out our blog post about it!). Even if you're staying off-site - the Orlando airport is a pretty decent hub spot.

I use https://www.rome2rio.com/ when i'm searching up the best way to get places! Orlando Disney is a huge attraction for people all over the world! The other Disney parks are great, i'm sure, but theres something even more magical about Disney Orlando.

Canada to the US isn't too complicated. The two times i've done it were very simple. The first time I flew directly from Montreal, had a layover in Chicago, then flew to Orlando. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy. The second time, we drove to Burlington, Vermont. From there we flew to DC, laid over, then flew to Orlando. We tend to find the cheapest flights - layovers don't bother me in the slightest- to be honest, I kind of enjoy them. Gives me a chance a to stretch my legs and get off the plane for a bit. Nonstop from Mtl to Orlando is a little over 3 hours so it's not bad at all, except when the prices randomly skyrocket.

I found the phone app, Hopper, to be the best way of tracking flight prices. Check out their twitter in the link. The app is special because it uses algorithms to predict the best time to buy your flight, aka when its the lowest price possible. If i'm not mistaken - if you buy when it suggests, and the price does drop again contrary to their predictions - they may reimburse the difference, but check into that please! I haven't had an issue with it yet - so i'm not sure!

The second best is surprisingly Google Flights. According to sources of Liz's in her Tourism and Travel studies - the best flight prediction algorithm is used solely by Google. I particularly enjoyed the price graph by date. It can predict future prices so you have an estimate of what you're flight should cost when you book your Disney Vacay, but also booking your flight as early as possible helps too!

Do you have any secrets or tricks about getting to Orlando? Or to Disney? Give us a shout! We'd love to hear it! :)
